How to add Contacts to Your Sites

Add Site Contacts to ensure our vendors know who to reach out to when delivering your fuel.

Users vs. Contacts

Let's take a moment to define the difference between Users and Contacts in Fuel Me:

Users: Anyone added as a 'User' to your Fuel Me account will have a username and password and must be assigned a Role. Users can view and make changes to your Fuel Me data in accordance with their permissions settings.

Contacts: Contacts are simply names and contact information of people who work at your organization that you would like to have accessible in your Fuel Me account and can share with vendors.

Adding Contacts to Sites

After you set up your Sites, add a Contact that will be responsible for receiving fuel deliveries and coordinating with the fuel vendor driver should they encounter any issues.

If your preferred contact is already a User in your account, you will still need to add them as a Site Contact on the Site level.

To Add a Site Contact

  1. Click on 'Sites' in the main side bar menu
  2. Click on the Site for which you want to add a Contact
  3. On the 'Details' tab, scroll down to the Site Contact section then click on +Add Onsite Contact
  4. Fill out the Onsite Contact form, then click the 'Add' button

Set a Site Contact as a Primary Contact

In situations where your team works in shifts or shares responsibilities, you may want to add multiple contacts to a Site. In these instances, we recommended setting one contact as the 'Primary' contact.

You can do this by clicking on the 'Set as Primary' option and then clicking on 'Save'  in the bottom left hand corner.
